Just a random bit of trivia that an old friend told me about back when I picked up a couple of Star BM pistols. He was a friend of Mr. La France.

“The US-based gunsmith Timothy F. La France, the principal of LaFrance Specialties (formerly of San Diego, California) used the Star BM pistol as a basis to manufacture a sub-compact custom pistol called the NOVA 6-Pack, basically a Star BM shortened to pocket-size; the NOVA 6-Pack was manufactured only under custom order in a very small number of samples, and was, at one time, the smallest 9mm handgun in the world.” Source:http://www.star9mm.com/2017/08/origins-of-star-bm-9mm.html

Jg x grade in cz82 for $169 was a hell of a deal. Who knew a couple months later the pandemic would screw up all gun sales

So, the 2 BMs I ordered arrived today. J&G described the condition as "very good." I'd be more inclined to call them "good."
They were both pretty gummy with old oil but that's expected. Both came in the original, serial matched boxes with manuals, tool, and spare mag. They cleaned up pretty nice and I like them. I also learned that when you're taking them apart for cleaning you can rotate the safety counter clockwise enough for a spring and plunger to launch themselves right at your eye.
