I had one a few years ago when you could buy one for $200. My search found they made over 217k from 1972-1992. Good pistol for a truck gun,etc. never had any issues with it.

Good pistols. I had a BM but sold it to a guy at work. Got a full sized Super in largo but traded it for a BKS. I don’t think the BKS is going anywhere. Lightweight and fun to shoot

I had thought about getting a Star BM but with it being about the same price as a Taurus G3, I think I'll pass. With the Taurus, I get a 15 round double stack magazine with a 17 round mag included with the gun and magazine compatibility with my G2c.

For me, the Star BM would be used for CC being a smaller weapon.

I've owned two of the Model BM pistols.
I put Zebrawood grips on the first one and Bocote on the second.
I ended up selling the one with the Bocote.
Solid pistols.....heavy too.
I'm glad I kept one of them.
