grab a pistol of any caliber, extend your arms out, and shoot at a 1" circle 10 yards away.
I'm going to hit the range this weekend and give it a try with the following calibers: .22lr, .32, .380, .38, 9mm, .357, .40, .45, .44, and .454
So I saw on another forum that they were doing a contest to see who could hit a 1" circle at 10 yards.
Rules:
Firearm: Any handgun, any caliber. Iron sites. No shotshells. No lasers. No scopes.
Range: 10 yards (not a yard less)
Position: Standing, no support (nothing touches the handgun other than your hands; your hands/arms touch nothing but each other and the gun)
Target: http://www.mytargets.com/target22 circles x20.pdf (Print target to fit page, use standard 8.5x11)
Time Limit: None
Number of rounds: 20 (one per bullseye). You may shoot as many targets as you like and submit your best, if you have the time/ammo to do so.
Scoring: Miss = 0; Outer Ring = 1; Center Bullseye = 2. If the hole touches any part of the black, hit counts. Only one hit per bullseye will be counted
Entries due by: Midnight, US Eastern Time, November 15th. Absolutely no late entries will be counted.
Entries require: Picture of the target, picture of the gun used, proof said target is yours (spoon, write name on it, whatever...easy) Video would be best buy not required (just go by the old honor code).
Winner Gets: To select the parameters of next month's shooting challenge.
An example of a legal entry.
