If I was that girl's daddy, I'd kill those boys myself. There is no question. It may not be right. It may not be lawful. I may go to prison. I'm not saying it's a good thing. That's just what would happen.
Maybe I'm a bad person....

no me it's another sign of how the young people in our country think they're entitled to whatever they want, and don't think about consequences. Did they not think about what they would do with this poor girls body after they killed her? Its just so sad. Life is priceless.

But in Grand Theht Auto I just hit reset and everything is all better. Oh, there is no reset button in life.

To be fair, she doesn't appear to have been killed for her bicycle parts.

It said she was lured to the house with bike parts (she apparently really loved her bike), but that a motive for the killing wasn't known yet.

Horrific and tragic none the less.

As a parent with kids around that age, it is tough to exercise judgment about how much freedom to give them. I grew up in the apparently carefree-70s, when my parents didn't care where I was all day so long as I was home by dinner time. I have tried to adopt some of that 'free range kids' philosophy with my kids, as I believe the freedom helps them become better decisionmakers.

Stories like this make me reconsider that.

She was 'Lured' to the house on the guise of her getting some parts / accessories for her bicycle.. when the real plan was to steal her bike. The boys father has told media that his son's had been in trouble before for stealing bicycles. It was her son's comments about 'going on the lam' on his FaceBook page that gave it away to his mother what they had done. You got to piece the story together with what info other news sources are releasing.

It really gets me that some media organizations are headlining that the boys mother "RATTED OUT" her sons. "Ratted Out' really? Heck. she shouldn't be talked about in that demeaning way... as she did the right thing and came forward. I just don't understand how the boys could have hidden the bike at the house, without the parents having not known it was there. Info is that the police found it inside the house.

Here is a couple of links showing what these 2 A-holes look like. A couple of teens looking a lot like Treyvon Martin in his FB photos... going for the gangsta look.

So very sad. If you have children at home, go give them a hug tonight. Be glad that yours are safe. Mine's thirteen, and she's in SE Alabama, and I'm going to call her tonight to tell her that I love her.

I was surprised to see this. To give you a little background, my sister lives across the street from where Autumns body was found and lives 1 o'clock from the 2 brothers that have been arrested for the murder. My little niece who is also 12 was best friends with Autumn and Autumn had been over at my sisters house for pool parties many times. It was a shock and the fact that town is where my wife grew up and I lived many years made it very heart acing.

Autumn knew the boys, heck many people knew them. Their mother was not home all that weekend so hiding things wasn't hard for the 2. There is a lot of racial tension right now in town and we are keeping in touch with all our family and friends several times a day.
