Just as I hate putting ANYTHING on a good steak, I also refuse to put anything on my bacon. I occasionally like bacon on a hamburger, but that is getting harder to do with my false teeth.

With all the above said, I WANT TO TASTE THE MEAT!!!!!

Yup. Ever since Mrs GED started making/canning her own plum jelly, I haven't bought a jar of grape jelly since.

Yup. Ever since Mrs GED started making/canning her own plum jelly, I haven't bought a jar of grape jelly since.

This summer a road crew came through here clearing out "all foliage that may come close to the school bus". They went wayyyy too far back off of the road. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to catch them until it was too late and they shredded most of our wild plum trees. To say I was pissed is an understatement. We make jelly every year, but this may have been our last. I'm hoping a few of the trees can recover but I really don't have much hope.
