Looks like that's about right. I'll bet he was excited getting that fish landed.

I was using grey and silver curly tail crappie jigs on 1/16 jig heads and gulp alive chartreuse 3 1/2" minnows. The catfish were hammering the minnows, but none were eating size.
Had one of the best days fishing in years this morning. Got into the largest sand bass I've ever caught. Ended up with 7 sandies, 3 blue cats and a really nice largemouth that was extremely skinny.

That he does, although he was in an area with a ton of minnows. Either way, I threw him back.
Went back to the same place I hit the sand bass last week. No sand bass to be found, but i had bass thumb by 7:30 this morning. All were caught on top water, which was a blast!
The water is definitely heating up. The bite was super slow this morning. I caught 2 largemouth and had a third throw the bait. Guess it's time to switch to catfish and crappie.
