Blanked for both of my sons and me. Also a couple friends with 15 points blanked on elk as well as a cousin and uncle. Getting drawn for some of these is tough.

I was the chosen one I guess. I got drawn first time I ever put in for elk in 1988. (back when you had to wait ten years, not "once in a lifetime")

Drew again in 2006.

A buddy of mine had put in for 33 years before he got drawn. (he only put in for bull)

Was lucky and drew the Deep fork NWR Archery hunt. Would love some info if anyone's hunted it before!

I just read on a TX bowhunting forum that one guy drew an elk bull tag his second year to apply, and another guy drew for MCAAP.
