We pay our direct repairers a considerable amount more to repair cars than shops off our program. It's not even close. If you choose not to use our program, it actually saves us money on the repair. And most of the direct repairers do give some kind of discount (but not all). They have other ways of making the bill larger. Offering discounts or saving money has nothing to do with making the program.

Bingo. Insurers guarantee work on program shops. A questionable shop doesn't make the program. There are agreed up rates but they are not the cheapest in the locale. They are simply contracted rates that are customary and reasonable for the area and no bs charges like set out on tows or admin fees. Non programs are often higher on labor rates.

Make sure you take pictures of the damage before you take it in the shop.

Thanks for the info guys. Just what I was looking for. It is a lease vehicle through my work but I am planning on buying out my lease in the next few months as my wife loves the car so I definitely want to have it fixed right.
