I thought about making mine like that, essentially a quick take down gun to throw in the back pack. This one didn't come with factory iron sights unfortunately
Went to dig it out but my son is here for the holidays and getting into the safe would be an exercise. My inventory says it's an NEF SB2-SY3, apparently a Superlight Youth Handi-rifle. Fun for the woods, except the hogs have gotten more prevalent so I haven't taken it out in a while. I wanna say I usually shot that Russian steel core stuff but not sure. I do remember that the 223 ammo wouldn't stay in the elastic butt-cuff I had so I ran a large bead of glue from a glue gun about a 1/4 inch from the bottom hole to hold them in (upside down). Kind of a rigged up getup for sure.
Will have to drop the 40gr VMAX unfortunately they we're out of stock and I don't fill like ordering elsewhere or waiting so we'll have to test it later down the road
Got off at noon today and ran out to the range to shoot the newest handi rifle. I'll get my excuses out of the way first. I was shooting off a backpack stuffed with two hoodies and no rear rest, there was a 16 mph crosswind and I'm going to have to put my meopta on here cause 4x just isn't cutting it with my old eyes these days for target shooting at tiny things
I'll post the ammo in order of weight lightest to heaviest 100 yards then 200. Nothing to write home about but plenty good enough for a rifle that will be carried stand to stand shooting coyotes 200 yards and closer. Only fired 3 shot groups because there's no sense in shooting 5 shot groups with the way I hunt and this being a single shot ultra light barrel
