I ordered a 25 MOA rail from DIProductsinc.com,,,
Mounted it on my CZ-457 Pro Varmint AT-One,,,
Underneath a Vortex Diamondback 4x16-44.

Took it to the range yesterday to get it dialed in,,,
It took me 25 rounds just to get it on paper.

Once I found paper it didn't take long to get it zeroed,,,
But when I did I found I was just a few clicks away from bottoming out the adjustments.

Actually when I think about it that's probably a good thing,,,
My intention for this rifle is to stretch it out to 200 yards and maybe even out to 300 yards.

I will probably need all of the "up" adjustment that I can get.

The reason I'm posting is just to alert other long-range newbies such as myself,,,
That running out of "down" adjustment to zero in at 50 yards,,,
Could be a problem that they hadn't thought of.

I know I certainly hadn't,,,
It was a situation that in my inexperience I simply wasn't aware of.

So I got lucky in skirting a potential problem,,,
I'm just happy that I didn't order the 30 MOA rail from another company.

I run a 60 MOA rail zeroed at 50 yards on all three of my Vudoo's. I can dial up 34.6 mils on the Vortex Gen III Razor which gets me 575 yards without holdovers using Lapua Super Long Range.

The Zeiss S3 425 should get me out to 675 yards without hold overs.

I doubt you needed a 25 moa rail to reach 300 yards. But if it zeroed then you should be fine.

Possibly not,,,
But it was recommended to me by a long range rimfire shooter.

Next time I see him I'm relating the experience to him,,,
I'm curious to know if he knew but wasn't worried due to prior experience.

Since you have so much up adjustment you might as well stretch it on out to see what it will do? I think you will then be pleased with your rail. 22 can be alot if fun.

I have a dip 25 moa on my Anschutz with a vortex 6-24 and it zeros out like yours but l can go to 400 yards with no issues. When zeroed at 50 yards it takes 6-1/2" up for 100 yards and 24" up for 200 yards......... can't remember 300 yard and longer come ups will have to check my range log book

My dope for the Vudoo 3-60 (20” Helix-6 Carbon Fiber Barrel, 60 MOA Vudoo rail, Vortex Razor Gen III 6-36x56 scope) shows the following for Lapua Super Long Range (1₥ = 3.6”):

50 yards (zero) 0.0₥ 0” drop
100 yards 1.5₥ 5.4” drop
200 yards 6.3₥ 22.6” drop
300 yards 12.2₥ 43.9” drop
400 yards 19.2₥ 69.1” drop
500 yards 27.3₥ 98.2” drop
550 yards 31.8₥ 114.4” drop (550 is as far as I’ve shot it so far)

Working a deal for a Charlie Tarac periscope device that will allow an extra 240₥ of elevation.

initially thought more the merrier till i saw you were shooting rimfire. You guys got skills taking that thing out to distance.

Thanks for the compliment,,,
But in actuality, I don't deserve it yet.

Shooting out to 300 yards is still a dream for me,,,
I still need to master my technique at 50-100 yards distances.

My recreational goal is to shoot standard silhouette targets,,,
At 50, 100, 150, and 200 yard distances.

Than maybe try to consistently hit an 8" gong at 300 yards.

But that's what this summer is for,,,
Practice - Practice - Practice.
