28 Gauge Magnum?

I bought a 28 gauge semi-automatic and it came with a label in the box that said to use magnum shells for the first 20 rounds to break it in. Are there 28 gauge magnums out there or am I missing something here? Any help appreciated!

By the way, the shells I have on-hand are Winchester AA 1200 velocity 9 shot.

My guess would be the super light loads will not cycle the action, but no 3" or magnum 28's. AA's should function fine.

What is make and model of gun?

Just shoot heavier loads. It may choke on a shell here or there during the break in. Probably will run just fine though.

Thanks, guys. I didn't think they offered magnums in 28 gauge, but thought I'd ask. The gun is a Tri-Star Viper G2 Silver.

Take a long look at the Yildiz 28 ga O/U. They are amazing guns for the price. I'd say a half notch below a Browning, except they only cost $429.

I've been looking a Yildiz .410(they call it a 36g for whatever reason), it's nice looking.

Thanks! I 've seen them, and had a buddy on deployment in Turkey, but he couldn't connect for me. I've spent enough money to buy one at uploand banquets. LOL.

At least the money went for a good thing.
