Although it been a while, I prefer to have 4WD over 2WD.

Not full time four wheel drive, not all wheel drive, not that intellidrive or whatever it's called just old fashioned four wheel drive with manual locking hubs if possible.
I'm with you. Manual hubs, manual transfer case. Straight axles front and rear.

Whatever you choose you need the right tires.
33x12.5x15 Mud Terrain on my old Van with a 3.50 gear. 2WD and both will spin at the same time.

Just a reminder that 4wd is so one would not get stuck or gaining traction when starting to drive in slick areas. It is not for driving as fast you can down the road in the snow.
No that’s what front wheel drive is for.. :)

Been all over in the impala today. Didn’t spin unless I was trying.

I got my first four wheel drive pickup the day I graduated high school and I hung out with a group of guys that had 4x4s. We were always challenging others to go places where we didn't think they could make it through.

We used to say that four wheel drive was for getting stuck farther from the house.
