I’m getting geared up to start loading 410 & 20ga in lead buckshot varieties and am wanting suggestions on what loads any of you have had the best experience with. I’ll be loading on a couple of mec loaders, and currently have a limited amount of 00 lead shot, H110 powder, a batch of new primed cheddite 410 hulls, a few hundred AA once fired 20ga hulls, 1k W209 primers, a couple shotshell loading books, and several different 20ga & 410 wads, but with all that said I’d like input on what works in the real world. I’m not using it for anything other than target training using bolt & lever 410, and pump & semi-auto 20ga shotguns.
Thank you for your input.

I’ve never loaded buckshot in anything but 12 ga, but I’ve been looking for 20 ga buckshot loads too. Everything I’ve found is for cheddite hulls. I’ve got a few thousand AA hulls that seem to have fallen out of favor with places like Ballistic Products. I’ve tried a few cheddite 410 hulls, and in my opinion, they’re “softer” and inferior to Remington and Winchesters.
I don’t know how much you’ve loaded with a 410 MEC loader, but it’s been exponentially harder for me than 12 or 20 ga due to the small drop tube.
