I bet it might work on groundhogs too if you keep it kinda close. Say 100yds max!




All joking aside, a good bullet mold (or two or three), and bucket of wheel weights would be a perfect candidate for that rifle!

The hot loaded 45/70 is plenty enough bigun for me!

That is possible --- just not my preference. I've always been a believer that going down is better rather than the pushing the material outward. Plus, it's just more typical of a path for the caliber so thinking long term if I was to ever sell the rifle and include hte brass with it, that would make more sense to a prospective buyer.
