Someone's already bid more for a commercially-made "M1 Garand" than it would cost to get the real USGI article from the CMP. That rifle was not "refurbishing" at the factory

Why do prices get out of control on auctions like this, but for the most part isn't the case on gunbroker?

Some damn nice revos in there. Prices are already at the top though, but if you were planning on holding them for a long time money could be made. That Diamondback is sweet and won't ever go down in value.

Bob I think its two things.
A) it's local and they don't want to deal with getting hosed on an out of state deal or dealing with shippinf.
B)people think they could get a good deal at a small auction and get tied up bidding competitively.
