I was reading something somewhere recently and it said something about it might not be legal to sell them together.

If you want to absolutely (maliciously) comply, take the money for one, then sell the other one in another transaction immediately after. There's no law that says a certain amount of time has to pass before you can sell the other one. If shipping, just ship them in separate packages, that way they aren't together. Or the other option is to just do whatever you want.
