Are there any vacation destinations for shooters?

Rough Creek seems to be exactly what I would like to visit,,,
Plenty of target shooting opportunities for me,,,
I just e-mailed them about their rates.

I'm not a hunter so that Greystone place wouldn't be my cup of tea,,,
But I do thank you for posting about it.

After I looked at this thread, Colion Noir released his review on the FN Reflex after 8 months of use. About 1 minute and 30 seconds into the video, he talks about a place in TX that sounds about like what you are looking for, although there was no mention of restaurants.

Talk about Big Brother,,,
Since I Googled a few of the recommended places,,,
The auto-generated ads on this site are showing me lots of hunting lodges.

He really is watching.

I e-mailed Rough Creek for more information,,,
If they reply I'll post the info here.

I've traveled quite a bit in my life,,,
Seen about half of the United States,,,
And some pretty exotic places in the Military.

But I've never taken a real vacation,,,
I have a couple grand I could spend on one,,,
Maybe this will pan out and be the vacation I've wanted since I retired.

I have been to Whittington a couple times. I loved it. I stayed in town but thought the cabins would be fun. There is not a central lodge or restaurant but town is close and the cabins have fridges for groceries. There is a grocery store handy to nraw.

Thanks ssgrock3,,,
I appreciate your posting this.

It's way more information than I got from Whittington itself.
