870 barrell problem

The screw on my 870 barrell keeps coming loose.I can shoot a few rounds and they keep getting farther and farther apart. Upon disassembly I found the ball bearing and spring are missing from the barrell lug. Do I need a new barrell or can this be repaired? If it can be repaired do I have to wait for the next gun show or can I get the parts local?

the gunsmith at sportsworld fixed mine on my 1100 a few years ago i think it only cost me about 20.00

Pretty easy fix if you have the parts and basic mechanical skills.

http://www.gunpartscorp.com/ should have parts. Local smiths may.

You need to do this installation inside a transparant clothing bag, or you need to have extras. Not much staking is necessary.
