Is crazy so many new guns owners, I wonder if any of them has any idea of gun safety. Did any one heard about Seattle trying to hire more police. Dang stupid politicians. Lord help this nation.
Did not hear about Seattle, heard that Minneapolis hiring outsiders to come in and respond to 911 calls that the police force can't handle.

Do you have a link to a story on Seattle ?

Why we have a Ammo shortage.

Yes. I read elsewhere that ammo companies have a full year's backlog of orders. We can't buy primers because all manufacturing is going toward loaded ammo.

If the new gun buyers are the only factor, it will ease up. These aren't people who love guns and shooting. Many of them don't even like guns, but are afraid because of the anarchists/rioters/protestors. They aren't going to be continuously using up ammo. I've talked to some like that. Even advised them. They'll buy "a" gun. Fire it and then store it.

After this surge it will get back to normal.

Now, if federal laws change/draconian statements issued concerning the ATF, etc, that'll be a whole different thread.

If demand goes up and stays up, manufacturers will increase their capacity. They won't do it if they suspect the increased demand is temporary, but they will sell all they can if there is long term demand for it. If they can sell more, they'll make more. Whether prices ever get back as low as they were is debatable, but they might, and it will get back to a point where you can find it whenever you want. And most likely, prices will get back to, or close to where they were.

I just got 2,000 rounds of wolf performance 7.62 for $400 a case! That used to be about $220. But they had it so I bought it. Hopefully it will go back down but I doubt it will. We may never see prices recover like they have in the past. Very dark times on almost here.
