I'd say that Mexico's insatiable appetite for violence is the root of the problem. If they didn't want to kill each other so badly, there wouldn't be such a high demand for illegal guns in their country.

Exactly!!! I mean, when it really comes down to it... This is like blaming a person who had their guns stolen from their home for not having sufficient enough measures in place to keep them from being stolen - INSTEAD OF BLAMING THE FREAKING THIEVES!!!

It's that dumb redirection by the anti-crowd that gets under my skin the most.

I always found it amusing that they say the guns come from America, when it's far cheaper and lacking the legal hassle to just buy them from a bit further south. Anyone care to guess how many guns there are in Central/South America?

Besides, the cartels tend to be equipped with REAL military weapons. Full auto assault rifles, grenade launchers, machine guns... I know the liberals don't mind saying you can buy those at discount prices in any sporting goods store in America, but that's only because over half the people in this country will believe it because they don't know any better, and refuse to find out the truth for themselves.

After all, the people in the government ARE our benevolent overlords. They must be speaking the truth, and therefore we must accept what they say without question...
