FEG makes a fine HP clone and the RIA 9mm 1911s are usually very solid pistols. The early HP you did have is a bit harder to find parts for, especially that internal extractor. Sounds like you did good on that deal.

I love BHP's! For a 9MM parabellum pistol its tops. I love 1911's too. Call me old fasioned but 45 acp is the only caliber ild want a 1911 in. Just as accurate as 9mm and alot better defence round. But to each there own. I didnt like 556 cal AK's at first either but over time they kinda grew on me.

My Freedom Ammunitions order showed up yesterday. So, I took these out to the range this afternoon and really like both of these guns. So much so that I really don't see the point in hanging on to my XDm 4.5".
