Be careful with Sportsmans guide, they kinda hose you on the ordering process on back orders. Back during the first ammo rush in 09, I placed two BIG orders,. One with midway and one with SG. I got all my stuff from midway, but SG cancelled parts of my order because I didn't call in? WTF??

I just ordered four boxes of Federal 124gr hollowpoint from ammo.net. They had it in stock and delivered very quickly. Most places with stock won't ship less than 1,000 rounds these days. I was pleased with the transaction. Poorer, but pleased.

If things are on backorder at sportsmansguide long enough, they will contact you with an email and ask that you either reply to the email or call in to let them know if you still want the item... if they dont hear from you they will cancell the order. I had some .22 ammo on backorder with them for almost a year and I kept answering yes when they asked and they filled the order at the price they had promised.

I have found several good deal online but am strapped for cash at the moment. I just ordered 1,000 rounds of 556 about 2 weeks ago from midway. I am going to order the same for 9mm when I get my income tax.

Hit ammoengine.com though I think lots of sites somehow block it from gathering their info. They didn't like the competitiveness it brought.

I found a best price per round on there earlier today of something like $0.70/round earlier. I thought no way can that be the going price of 9mm.

So take your findings with a grain of salt.
