Pardon my ignorance, but what would happen if this became a Federal regulation? Would I still be allowed to use my 20 round PMAGs since they were bought pre-ban, would I be in violation of Federal law if caught carrying/using them, or is it something that could go either way?

Assuming such a law is passed the answer of course depends on how it is written.

I imagine a law that says turn 'em all in Mr and Mrs America might be pretty unpopular and result in a lot of citizens ignoring it.

IMO - congress learned its lesson re: bans 17 years ago. Then again the guys in power now are no more rocket scientists than their predecessors so it is possible they'll try again.

I'd lay good odds that half those voting against armed teachers have children they know would be in the high risk of serious correction category....

might as well arm the students and make first hour class gun safety!

I've always thought they should put that in as an elective. They could make a class devoted to the constitution (since its part of our history and all), and part of the class would cover the 2A and proper firearms handling. Just a thought...

CNN is polling about banning hi cap magazines again. The poll is down the page a little an on the right side:

http://www.cnn.com/

A Nebraska Senator would like to allow teachers to be armed. This one is also down the page an on the right side. The poll may take awhile to load:

http://www.omaha.com/

Currently, both polls aren't going the way I'd like :madbox:

Currently, both polls are no longer accessible
