Even if he did fill out a 4473 the Govt wouldnt know about it, the 4473 stays with the dealers and is not turned into the NCIS. NCIS only knows if you are buying a handgun, long gun or other. they dont know the make or model or serial number of the weapon unless the dealer has went out of business and their 4473 forms have been turned into the ATF.

That is how it is supposed to work.
What happens when one of the three letter agencies shows up and says we want your 4473s?
Also, where do the 4473s go when a ffl surrenders their license?

A ban on the manufacturing of semi-autos and high capacity mags would not be difficult for them to past in both houses. After all, they only need an occasion mass shooting to re-fuel the fire of gun legislation, media bias reporting and the clamor of the liberal minority; until the republicans buckle under the pressure. I agree with others here who have said a retroactive ban would likely bring cession of many states and if enforced through the IRS would likely bring civil disobedience on such a grand scale that is would overwhelm the government; at least I hope that it would. Regardless of how you think, it’s definitely time to put your money where your mouth is. If you have stated that your guns will only be taken from your "cold dead hands" then you may get a chance to prove yourself if both houses move to retro actively ban all semi-autos. We definitely should not underestimate what the current administration, and elected representatives are capable of just to douse the fire of public outcry.

Politicians who do not vote for the AWB will get no backlash. Politicians who do vote for it, will. Every gun owner will remember which politicians voted to ban their guns but won't remember who voted against it.

so basically, any time between now and whenever in January/February it comes up for vote.

I'd say the statistical probability is fairly good. We've had two "scares" just here in Oklahoma since this **** went down. I don't buy into any conspiracy though.
