Academy has 9mm for 20 cents per round

Was at Academy this afternoon and bought a box of this Monarch. Hope I didn't make a mistake.
Anybody shot this ammo this week?

Used Monarch in the past. Was dirty, weak recoil. Wonder if it has changed?

It’s a mix of random rebranded manufacturers…PPU is one of them.

The box I bought said it was made in Brazil. They still had a bunch at the Yukon store this afternoon.

This new packaged stuff is rebranded magtech. Don't know why it's cheaper than the ppu stuff but it shoots well and I get my discount on this stuff.

I don’t know if it’s true or not, I saw/read somewhere that the Monarch 9mm ammo made in Brazil is made by CBC??

Monarch brand 9mm Luger by CBC Brazil

Recently arrived on the US market. Monarch brand 9mm Luger made presumably by CBC in Brazil. “Made in Brazil” is stated on the box. Previously, brass cased Monarch 9mm Luger was made by PPU. Pic with a typical CBC headstamp for comparison.
