Just as an FYI Tulsa world is not owned by the same family it had been for years. Pretty sure they sold it and its the new elitist Dbag ownership pushing this.
I guess I'm too cynical or not naive enough to believe this isn't their position. Dollars to doughnuts, I bet if TW writes their own op ed on this it will be supportive, not dismissive of Dusenberry's ideas.
I'm plenty cynical -- especially about those who can't or won't see simple facts. You have the evidence of two competing viewpoints being printed at the same time, on the same page, and of essentially the same length. Trying to extrapolate that into something it isn't does not enhance your position. I've not generally been a Tulsa World fan, especially under the Lortons. The new ownership has shown signs of better aligning the paper to the community while expanding the opportunity for multiple views to be published and read. If the time comes that what you predict comes about on the TW editorial pages, then we'll have evidence for which we can rightly condemn their hypocrisy on understanding freedoms and rights. I'll be right there with you in that condemnation but these columns are as fair and balanced a presentation as could be expected by either side of the question.
Just speaking for myself, about myself here, not directed at you, not about you, not sure why you're taking it personal.
Geez, lighten up Francis.
As far as things changing over at the TW is concerned, with the same old bunch of out of touch elitists on their editorial board still calling the shots and continuing their same old practice of anonymous TW editorials(which is richly ironic considering they make anyone commenting on an article identify themselves now), I don't see how anyone could claim things have changed or are changing with a straight face. Be it baby Bobby or Buffet signing the checks, it's still the good ole boy network business as usual.
