Overview
This is a fundamental handgun class for Defensive or Competitive uses.
We will go over the fundamentals of shooting a handgun at speed, while maintaining acceptable accuracy.
Topics to be covered include:
Gun Safety
Draw Stroke
Grip
Stance
Sights
Trigger Control
Manipulations
Reloads
Malfunctions
Required Equipment
Modern Semi auto handgun - 9mm or larger (Full-Size is preferred)
Holster for that gun (outside the waistband holster is preferred)
Magazine Pouches
Three magazines (more is better)
500 rounds of good quality ammo
Ear and Eye Protection (preferably electronic hearing protection)
Ball Cap
Folding Chair
Water, Snacks and Sack Lunch
Sunscreen (recommended)
Prerequisites
Concealed Carry Certified or Approval by Instructor
Note: This class is a prerequisite for Advanced Handgun 2.0
