I'm thinking about picking up a '74 and a bunch of ammo for cheap shooting/training. These are the ones I'm considering but my options are still open.

1. Century Tantal: Probably the lowest on the list due to non-chrome lined barrel and key holeing reports. It is the cheapest.

2. Bulgarian side folder: I like the looks of the triangle fold but it is the priciest.

3. Bulgarian fixed stock: Looks nice but not sure if I want a fixed stock.

4. Interarms Tantal: Uses original Polish barrel decent price, not as sure about the wire folder.

Thoughts comments on these four? Any that I've left off.

the aims has a nodakspud receiver. I have bought from them before. They are good people. Fixed stock or not that is the one I would buy, unless your interested in a kit. Advantage is you can be as perticular as you want.
thanks

The TGI guns (AIM/JG sales) are getting very mixxed reviews. One guy on another forum went through 4 rifles (2 Bulgarian 7.62 and 2 Saiga conversions) and did not get a working rifle. He reported customer service was extremely poor. I have heard that the kits they built on were in great to new shape.

I believe they have G2 triggers if so I've never felt a bad one and most are really nice.

I just know I will not buy CIA again. My yugo came without cleaning rod. Pic showed it. I contacted CIA customer support. They just basically said to bad so sad. They wasn't going to help. So I'll build or buy elsewhere.
thanks

What
Screw the AK-74.

Buy a Smith & Wesson M&P15R. 5.45 x39mm out of an AR platform.

Already have an AR? Buy the upper only. All the comforts of your AR in a cheap bulgarian mulsurp caliber.
