This is exactly why my bar sells cans only. Plus the weight benefit over glass, but mainly recycling
That a great idea. How many cans o beer do you sell per month?

58,000 cans for 2,000lbs to get $1,000 out of it? Only way I see people making money at that is like someone mentioned earlier, own a bar. Even then 58,000 cans would take a very very long time.
This time a year we average about 9000 cans each month. In spring/summer, we averaged about 13,000 each month. Sell every beer for $2.25, then turn around on recycling for an additional $130-$175 depending on which scrap yard is accepting. We donate the money to various charities around town.
You guys arent aware of my 24 can a day Dr. Pepper habit are you?
I mean that right there by myself is 8760 cans a year by myself not including the wife and the kids, they collectively might drink as much as me so thats 17,520 cans. So if we need 58,000 cans and we are consuming 17,520 soft drinks at a minimum per year it would only take 3 years and 4 months to have that many cans!
Please tell us you or your family doesnt drink that much soda.
