American Horse Lake and other small water questions

Recent fishing report I got in an email said American Horse won't be open until Sept 1.

ODWC posted on Facebook earlier stating this.

Fished at American Horse a couple of times last month with crickets and worms. Caught some nice bluegill and a few catfish and one turtle I wanted no part of.....good fishing there. Caught grasshoppers in the grass and used them when I ran out of bait.....they didn't stay in the water long before a fish took them.
