I’m not sure one flies on campus of that liberal institution.I've seen two flag poles today with just an OU flag flying, no American flag lol.

I agree with Pablo here. It's probably just semantics, but I take pride in things I'm responsible for being a part of and my accomplishments. Being born in this nation is just pure dumb luck on our part. I've always felt as though "Lucky to be an American" would be a more appropriate phrase. You have everything to do with whether or not it continues though, no?
Patriotism at historic low? Well not at my house, my street, my city, my county and my state. We love God and country and we brag about it.

Agreed. My job has allowed me to travel a lot to large cities all across this country. Every thing started about 10 or 12 years ago. Just a small thing that turned into an avalanche in a blink of an eye. Never thought having a rebel flag would be a crime. Seems no one considers that the South did exist and the war had almost nothing to do about freeing the slaves. You can't compare living in Coalgate Okla to a large swath of the country , I have traveled and worked in places in this country where putting an American flag in your front yard or on your car is a sure fire way to get it vandalized. Small town Oklahoma , Texas or Kansas is a vastly different place than many larger urban areas in the US .
