Sounds like it was just a minor inconvenience (subpoena) to get Stamps.com and the credit card company to turn over customer info.
I wish there was an untraceable way to buy things over the Internet. Any ideas? Bitcoin maybe (I don't know anything about that).

That's the problem. The Stamps.com rollover relied on shipping records, not account records. Unless you have an untraceable dead drop to ship items to, they're gonna get you on delivery. That leaves ftf cash transactions as the only viable method, and even that's not foolproof.
