It looks like it has a place to rest your thumb but those little blades are sharp! The nut on the end looks like the blades can be changed out.
With my track record of sharp objects, I don’t need to mess with one of these. I’m really curious now as to what this is!

Yep... I've seen one similar to that at a dog grooming place. I'm gonna say it's for dog grooming...not sure exactly what it does.
