Obviously you don't get it, because that wasn't the point at all.
The takeaway should be that no race is special because their ancestors were enslaved by others, since it's happened to most all races at one time or another.

Exactly.
Slavery is alive and well in the 21 century.
Just ask any home owner / land owner how we are slaves to the local grubbermitt (property taxes) because we choose to house ourselves and many of us supply our own food!
