Good news for CA gun owners

http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2014/03/28/Gun-Control-Groups-Fear-Sen-Yee-s-Indictment-Will-Make-Gun-Control-More-Difficult-To-Pass

Gun control groups working to push further gun control in California worry that state senator Leland Yee's indictment on arms trafficking "may slow the legislature's consideration of gun restrictions this year."

According to AP California News, on March 27 organizers of more legislation said "the charges filed against...Yee, a Democrat from San Francisco, could cloud the future of two of his gun control bills."

As Breitbart News reported on March 26, Yee supported an "assault weapons" ban in California and a requirement for background checks for ammunition purchases. He also co-sponsored an expansion of "the list of crimes that disqualify an individual from firearm ownership."

The "assaults weapons" ban more than any other piece of legislation was tied to Yee. He not only voted "yea" on it when it came up for a vote but actually sponsored it.

Gun control groups like the Courage Campaign now fear this and other pieces of gun control legislation are in jeopardy.

I hope that Yee puts another nail in the dems coffin----along with Obamacare, the campaign fund antics of "Dingy" Harry Reid(James Traficant(R) went to prison---Dingy(D) gets a "get out of jail free card"), etc., etc., etc.!

A very strange tale. Sounds dangerously close to treason.

http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2014/03/27/is-democrat-leland-yee-a-full-blown-gun-runner-for-russians-and-islamic-terrorists/?singlepage=true

San Francisco Magazine has published highlights of the indictment against Democrat California Sen. Leland Yee. Yee is currently running for California secretary of state, a post from which it now appears that he intended to wage strategic guerrilla warfare until he went off the grid to fight for Islamic rebels himself.

Yee told an FBI agent to give him a shopping list of guns: “Senator Yee asked [the agent] to provide an inventory list of desired weapons [...] [The agent] told Yee he would deliver $2,000,000 cash.”

Yee could arrange from some serious firepower: “[The agent] asked about shoulder fired automatic weapons. Senator Yee responded by saying the automatic weapons are the equivalent to the ‘M16′ Automatic Service Weapon [...] [The agent] asked about the availability of shoulder fire missiles or rockets. Senator Yee responded ‘I told him about the rockets and things like that.’”

Yee took personal responsibility for delivering the weapons: ”Senator Yee said, ‘We’re interested’ in arranging the weapons deal’ [...] and said of the arms dealer, ‘He’s going to rely on me, because ultimately it’s going to be me.’ [The agent] stated he would compensate Yee for brokering the relationship and arms deal.”

Yee was in it for the cash: “Senator Yee said, ‘Do I think we can make some money? I think we can make some money. Do I think we can get the good? I think we can get the goods.’”

Yee masterminded a complex scheme to import illegal weapons: “Keith Jackson [a political consultant who worked as Yee's fundraiser] told [an agent] that Senator Yee had a contact who deals in arms trafficking. This purported arms dealer was later identified. Jackson requested [a campaign donation] on behalf of Senator Yee, for Senator Yee to facilitate a meeting with arms dealer with the intent of [the agent] to purportedly purchase a large number of weapons to be imported through the Port of Newark, New Jersey. During a meeting [...] Senator Yee discussed certain details of the specific types of weapons [the agent] was interested in buying and importing.”

Yee had connection with Filipino rebel groups: ”Keith Jackson advised that Senator Yee had an unidentified Filipino associate who was supplying ‘heavy’ weapons to rebel groups in the Philippines.”

Just ponder that one for a few seconds. Yee has tried to disarm Americans. Behind the scenes he claims that he is arming rebel groups in the Philippines. Which rebel groups? You’ll see on the next page.

These rebel groups:

Including Muslim terrorists: “According to Senator Yee, Mindanao was largely population by Muslim rebel groups who were fighting the federal government. Yee continued by saying the Muslim rebels had no problem ‘kidnapping individuals, killing individuals, and extorting them for ransom.’”

And yet he wanted to arm them, while disarming law-abiding Americans.

In specific the Moro Islamic Liberation Front: “[The agent] asked about the major Muslim organizations in the Mindanao region of the Philippines. Senator Yee responded by saying ‘M.I.L.F.’”

Yee apparently wasn’t making up his arms dealer. It’s a real person. A real Russian person.

And, Russian arms dealers: “According to Senator Yee, the arms dealer source the weapons from Russia.”

Well. Surely having an elected official working on illegal deals with Russian arms dealers to arm Islamic terrorists trying to overthrow a government allied to the United States at a time when Russia is causing global — sorry, regional — problems, isn’t a big problem…?

And neither is this?

Yee yearned for a different life: “Senator Yee stated he was unhappy with his life and said, ‘There is a part of me that wants to be like you [...] Just be a free agent out there.’ Senator Yee told [the agent] that he wanted to hide out in the Philippines.”

This is extraordinary.

It’s at this point in the story that the media will go out of their way not to ask any other Democrats what they knew about Yee and whether they have a culture of corruption.

Holy crap on a cracker! That's not dangerously close to treason, it is by definition treason!

treason[ tree-zuhn ]
noun
1. the offense of acting to overthrow one's government or to harm or kill its sovereign.
2. a violation of allegiance to one's sovereign or to one's state.
3. the betrayal of a trust or confidence; breach of faith; treachery.

Contrary to what is said at the end, "Where there's smoke , there's fire." It would not surprise me in the least if the anti-gun legislators from LA were running with the latino gangs.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- The California Senate voted Friday to suspend three lawmakers caught up in separate criminal cases after the latest one to be hauled into court refused to step down, the most serious house-cleaning action the chamber has taken in more than a century.

Friday's 28-1 vote in the 40-member chamber came amid one of the most severe ethical crises in modern times for the Legislature in the nation's most populous state. Later in the day, Gov. Jerry Brown also called on the three lawmakers to resign.

The Senate leadership said that before Friday, the chamber had never suspended a lawmaker in the institution's 164-year history, but it has taken the more serious step of expelling lawmakers, the last time in 1905. The Assembly speaker's office said that chamber has never suspended or expelled a lawmaker....

The resolution prevents Democratic Sens. Ron Calderon and Leland Yee, who face federal corruption charges, and Democratic Sen. Rod Wright, who is awaiting sentencing in a voter fraud case, from exercising any power of their office until the criminal cases against them have been resolved. Even so, they will continue receiving their $95,291 annual salaries.

Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg of Sacramento acknowledged the public criticism of the chamber, but he defended his leadership and the integrity of the 37 senators who have not run afoul of the law. Nevertheless, he said he has been shocked by having 7 percent of the chamber face felony charges this year, which will be his last as leader.

"One is an anomaly, two is a coincidence. Three? That's not what this Senate is about," Steinberg said to lawmakers before the vote.

And to think, if there are taxpayers in California he drew his paycheck from them. This guy gave gun owners a bad name while all the time he was accepting bribes and kickbacks. Now, it appears as if there is some redemption for legal gun owners. I question how many more politicians are like Yee?
