Anti-Virus SW: Avast or Bitdefender

We've used Avast for a couple of years now. No complaints ... from the gal who knows **** about computers ...

I have been using Avast free for years on our home computers and used the Pro version on our business machines. I have had no problems and install it on friends and family machines.

I switched from Avast and AVG a few years ago to Kaspersky on my family's Windows boxes. Relatively small footprint and unintrusive.

I use Microsoft Security Essentials. I keep avast and malware bytes handy. If I was gonna pay it would be Kaspersky.

I ended up going with the paid version of Avast. I chose it based on its feature set.

And BEEN - I was surprised by the Lady telling me Avast had been updated when I booted up this morning - that was a WTF! moment.

The only downside so far is that avasts sandbox mode kills MS Explorer 9. I had to turn auto sandbox off to get it back. Anyone using avast have any ideas about that???
