We've got a box of old coins and I know jack about them. Most seem pretty uninteresting, but I have a couple that may be worth a little bit.

First up is an 1887 US Liberty Head Five Dollar gold piece. It looks almost new and has the 'S' mint mark. Seems from the google the 'S' makes this coin.

Next I have several 1922 Silver Dollars. Two of them have pretty good relief. One is a 'D' and the other is an 'S'. I have a second 'S' that isn't ins as good of shape, but it is much better than the last two. No mint mark is visible on them and one of them is very worn.

Next there is a 1921 Silver Dollar with a 'D' mint mark. It is also in very good condition with very high relief. I have another coin that is in a money clip that looks just like this one, but is an 1880, but it shines too much and doesn't look like silver so I'm thinking is is a replica. If there is one, I can't see the mint mark because of the clip. The back of the clip is stamped with SWANK.

I have several 1971 dollar coins. Don't know why they would end up in the "collection" box. Can you think of a reason? If not, I'm gonna spend them. Probably 7 to 10 of them. Definitely not silver.

take them over to the coin shop on sw 29th. Brown's Coin and Stamp. The old guy there is kind of a douche, but he grades and values them extremely fair.

Best bet is to go to eBay and search closed auctions. I found a 1922 silver dollar in some stuff from my Mom. Found out the best it would do on eBay was about $22.00

The $5 is worth right at $350 common date for the comm's but it's got a 1/4 ounce of gold. The silver dollars are maybe $18 bucks each if you sell it to a coin shop, maybe $21 on something like Ebay.
