A lot of the coins value depends on the grade. My 2010 coin book says that the coin in a lower grade VF-20 is worth 275. the values go up to 1050 for one that is in mint state 63. But that book was printed before the gold prices spiked up to over 1300 dollars per ounce. No matter what the grade you still have a quarter ounce of gold.

What jeffsoward said. Jerry is a no non-sense kind of guy. He will tell you what they are worth and what he will pay you for them. I have been selling him gold and silver for years, and he pays more then anyone else that I know of. His number is 405-632-6093 Brown's Gold and Coin.

Melt value is $325 as of today but as stated above never do that. I would say more like at least 400 and on up depending on grade. I think it is like $30 To have it graded

I think the "s" stands for San Francisco mint. In 1922 there was a bunch of silver dollars minted, so unless it's perfect it might just be worth the silver content in them. Get online and search to get a general idea of there value.

I think the 1971 dollar still contains partial silver. up to 1974 if I remember correctly. same with halves. you can take it to any gold and silver place and get i think 5 times face for it if i'm right.

speaking of all this... anyone know anything about value of wheat pennies? I have about 25 rolls of them that have been collected over the years. they are unsearched (not that i'd even know what I'm looking for) and in various different conditions but there are a lot of really early ones.

Ha, that was great. I can't wait to use this somewhere.

Are you considering selling any/all of them?

Probably not. Didn't cost me anything and I don't think they're gonna go down in value. Definitely hanging on to the gold coin for now. :D

My photobucket account is loaded with gold like that. I break it out now and again. :D
