I have a Garand, where do I find a deal on ammo?
"Deals" on ammo? LOL, you're funny.
CMP isn't bad considering you can assured it's Garand safe.

Will put in a "plug" (pun intended) for the GarandGear ported gas plug. Installs in place of your existing plug and reduces the pressure spike with no adjustment required.AMA 60 headstamped danish m2 surplus. Wont shoot Comercial ammo until i get one of those fancy adjustable gas plugs.
As for CMP ammo you've gotta fax them or email proof of citizenship as with a state ID. Not too hard to do and well worth it for that sweet, sweet HXP surplus. You can occasionally find "Garand Safe" loads from Federal, Remington, Hornady, etc. - it'll be printed on the outside of the box. But it seems like they only make a run once a year or so, making it hit and miss on finding any at any particular time. I've seen it at Academy on a number of occasions, but rarely anywhere else.
CMP is good for surplus ammo if you meet the membership qualifications, but prices have gone up there as well.

Both attract magnets if that's a concern
Interesting - didn't know Schuster had started making the non-adjustable version. I installed the GG plug on mine and have never looked back.I have a schuster high volume plug but when installed still wouldn't make it cycle.
