Not GMT but.......the Paras don't use all std 1911 parts & the quality from the factory is hit & miss.

What he said. The reason I requested a smith look at it is that Para is pretty inconsistent in their production. You may have one that works, then there are several are out of spec. They've had all sorts of doublestack mag problems that seem to be cured by quality springs.
