My new baby, a Colt LE6920HB M4A1. One of 300 made in Nov 2003. Came NIB (if that’s possible for a 19 yo rifle) and it literally looks like it just came from the factory. From what I’ve read most were sold to the police, then once the assault weapons ban ended in 2004 134 were sold to civilians for around $2000 each. Sorry my pictures don’t do this rifle justice at all.

I may, or may not, be extremely jealous that you got that and I didn't.

:censored:

The Colt LE6920HB was spec'ed and designed at Specialized Armament in the Summer of 2003, and is the second in a series of special production Colt law enforcement carbines developed to provide agencies and officers with unique features not found on standard production Colt AR-15 and M16/M4 series firearms. (The first in this series was the AR6320/6330 Police Patrol Carbine.)

In Early Fall 2003, Colt accepted the proposal and purchase order for the required minimum 300 LE6920HB's with the newly created 16 inch "M4 heavy Barrel" based on the 14.5 inch SOCOM M4A1 barrel (R0921HB). A production date was set for late Nov 2003 and all 300 units plus spare barrels, parts and magazines arrived at Specialized Armament on 15DEC03.

The LE6920HB was in fact produced exclusively for Specialized Armament and all authentic "HB's" originated at this company after arriving from Colt's factory on 6 pallets. The serial number range extends between LE014388 - LE015184 as Colt randomly pulled lower receivers from LE6920 and LE6921 production to assemble the small run of LE6920HB's. Specialized Armament has provided an authentication letter on Colt letterhead (no charge) to anyone who purchased one or more of these fine Colt firearms directly from us.

Been wanting one of these for years, so bit the bullet and ordered one.
This model has adaptors that allow the suppressor to remain on the barrel.

These are great chronos...especially if a Labradar isnt in the picture. I drag mine everywhere.

A few things to remember:
DON'T leave the square alignment rod in the barrel/muzzle device - it'll travel to somewhere you aren't and you will never find it
The alignment rod is square for a reason
DON'T eyeball the clearance on the bayonet blade - use the little square rod
DON'T eyeball the angle on the bayonet blade - use the little square rod

DO keep the strap and adapters as aligned as possible
DO use the strength of Zeus to lock it down - Murphy will make it fall off sideways regardless of how much M.A.N. you've used
DO make sure the muzzle (suppressor or MD) is over the curve in the blade.
DO make sure there's no more than the alignment rod thickness along the bullet path/Blade (it'll be goofy readings)

That's pretty much it. If you violate any of those you'll be pissed or embarrassed or both, lol
