I have one very similar to that with no model number. I've used multiple resources including the S&W experts on OSA and the S&W forums in an effort to get the real identity with no success. The only thing we could figure out that it was built sometime in the 30's.View attachment 240724View attachment 240725
Not in hand yet, but should have this S&W M&P revolver next week...38 Spcl, 5", looking to be circa mid-1930's, couldn't pass up the deal!
My contribution for today is 'small taters' compared to some, but I like 'em!!

Feels much better in hand! Found 'em new on Ebay for only $29.99!! Pachmayr Renegade #63000.
We may have crossed paths today. I was at Cabelas gooing over those Smiths. Had to pick up some Sonic cleaner and a target stand.Picked up a few Dillon things from Village Tactical today, as well as a pound H4350 and some Lee 38 Spcl dies from Cabelas...Cabelas has several nice Smith's in their used gun room, mainly model 27's and pre-27's, from 4" to 8 3/8"...out of my budget, but the most I've seen together other than the Smith table at a few gun shows...Cabelas guy said a 93 year old gentleman unloaded almost 100 guns on them a few months back, with 70ish being Smiths, this is whats left now...guess I need to get over here more!

Village had a sale on 45 bullets. Picked up those and some case lube. Village is one of my favorite places
