Having a bit of provenance makes it even better. I never got to meet him (he died when my dad was 12), but I’ve never heard a bad thing about him. The stories that my dad tells about him are quite interesting, like trading a Navajo weaver bags of hard candy for teaching him how to speak the language, or using the huge radio antennas on his patrol car to launch snowballs, or making my dad and his brother box each other until they couldn’t lift their arms when they’d start in on each other.

Now I need to find some nice leather for it. Lobo Gun Leather looks nice.

May not be the shiny new gun, but the history with it makes it the ultimate BBQ gun. I'm jealous.

Powder Valley haul came in yesterday. Another pound of 3N38 to finish up this 1000 9mm and 8 pounds of N135. Should get me set on 223 for a bit

Got this Micro Conversion Kit for my XD 45 Tactical. Took a few shots to get it sited in. Results are at 15 yards.

I just ran 50 through it. It came set up to cut the brass a little shorter than 1.752", but adjustment took just a second. Chamfer looks very good and not a single bur on the outside. I am going to stop and get a 3/8" coupler to attach it to my mini bench grinder I picked up from Harbor Freight. I will be ordering one for 308 very shortly.

After seeing your post on the case trimmer I looked them up, they seem like a pretty good set up. Looks like they’re well made and should do a good job too.

How hard is it to hold onto the cases once you insert them into the trimmer? I watched at youtube video and one guy had a heavy rubber glove on to hold his.
