Anybody get anything cool that is gun-related today?

Well, not gun cool, but pretty cool just the same.

My mom passed away a couple years ago. She had an old bank safe that was my grandmother from waaaayyyy back, like ‘20s or ‘30s, but nobody had the combination. Well, I found the combination this weekend and got the safe open. I thought I hit the jackpot when I saw this pistol box, but no such luck because, no pistol. Still, the box is in near mint condition with all of the original paperwork in it. It’ll be a nice display piece.

Another notable item was my grandpa‘s beaver derby hat. He passed away in ‘69, so it has been in the safe since then.

I have the target version of this very pistol. 2 lb trigger and oversized wood grips. Number for it indicates 1936. Shoots better than I can

Dunham’s in Muskogee has them for 12.99 for a box of ten. They had a good stock.

Not horrid, but I wonder if we'll ever see under a buck a round again (probably not with Russian with the ban)?

I was on the road today, stopped in a shop and found some Federal Premium 00 Buck FliteControl. I've been looking off and on for these for many months. I came across 6 boxes at a very fair price, so I snagged them up.

Federal Flight Control, big spender. So far I have not bought any of these, the closest thing I have is Hornady's version. These are supposed to be the cat's meow of buckshot though.
