I took the family to Ultimate Terrors on NW Expressway last night. We went through one of the three houses they have set up (Code Blue). It was smaller, but still pretty cool (took about 5 minutes to go through). My wife is a total chicken but she went through with us. She liked it, but she mugged me the entire time. The boys had never been in one, but they had a blast.
Tonight, I took my two older boys to the Bricktown Haunted Warehouse. I wanted to take them before it's gone forever.
Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as good as years' past. There's so much potential there, but the acting staff was weak and anemic. There should have been twice as many as there were. It was mostly walking through props. The boys had fun though.
I also took them back to Ultimate Terrors to try another of the walk-throughs (Skull Manor). Again, small but really enjoyable. There were alot of actors and we had a ton of fun at it.
I scared one of the actors. I could see the panel that they drop down to "pop out" and scare you, so I stood with my face right at the panel and when it dropped down I screamed at the dude. I think he shat himself a little. he screamed like a girl and jumped backward.
I also copped a feel on a zombie chick. it was a total accident. Pitch black section and I was in the lead. I was feeling for the walls and she was standing on one side. Straight hand-to-****. I whispered an apology, she whispered an "it's fine" and I replied, "yes, it was"
She laughed at my comment and it scared the boys.
I would definitely recommend the Ultimate Terrors over Bricktown, even though tomorrow is the last night ever for Bricktown. The lines are too long and the scares too short. You can get the package at Ultimate Terrors to go through all three for four dollars more than the Bricktown price and it's alot more fun.
The only walk-through at Ultimate Terrors we didn't go through was 3D Chaos. It was all clowns. I hate clowns. they have a no touch policy, but I'm afraid one would have come too close and gotten "touched."
