Say you shot a black bear here in OK and wanted the fur from it...what would something like that cost to have done? I'm sure it would depend on size somewhat but surely there's a "ballpark"?
Did a rug last year for a 6.5'+ black bear my son killed in Alaska......done right, with open mouth, double felt and good D rings to hang it.......at least $1000. Shipping these hides is very expensive!!
A smaller bear will be a bit cheaper, but not much as the work is not that much different for a 5' bear than a 7'.

Thats about what I heard...they said it was $1,200 to go from bear to rug. I REALLY wanna do one of those "Bear Man" jackets like the dude wore in True Grit. Idunno if that would make it more or less haha.
I'm not opposed to it.
