Anybody have experience with Southwest and Firearm Declaration while flying out of OKC?

How they handle the declaration of a firearm through most airlines will be dependent on where you fly out of. Oklahoma in general is very easy light most have said; locked box with empty mags, ammo in different box, TSA approved locks, etc. Depending on where you're at, you'll get ran through an X-ray, have to see someone to have them open it, or something else. I've experienced a few different things from different airports, from LAX, LAS, OKC, TUL, GEG, over into the east coast. Just give yourself adequate time at other airports.

Sometime back my PIC got stuck in the Peoples Republic of Chicago at the airport with his pistols ( he flys with them on a regular basis ) to avoid their laws, he UPS/FEDEX them to his office in Neb, the next morning the check-in person tipped off the cops he had guns, he told them he didn't have any guns with him and they where going to haul his ass off to jail, he would not let them open his bags but flagged down a deputy who checked the bags, found no guns and got a skycap with a golf cart to take him to his gate
