What about the old guys downtown with the 100 year old grease? Best burgers I have ever had. Of course it was five years ago. He might be dead Fred.

Are you talking about Folger's? If so, we tried it once. Both thought it was just 'meh'.
Folgers was never good IMO.
Whip dip was great, now so so.
Chain places are just that, chain places and for the most part reflect that.
I have heard the Arbuckle Pies place on broadway makes a good burger but have not tried one.
For mexican I like protillos, I used to like la fiesta but that last time I was there everyone felt like they were being rushed to order and eat. Food was so so as well.
Every place has their off days I know, it happens.
Theres a new mexican place, El Ray, where carls jr was, I have not been there.
My go to most days is chic fil a, very consistent, for what you get.

I think the name was Hamburger Inn. I've never been to Folgers, but Arbuckle Pies gets my vote for best burger.

We ate there last spring on the way back from a wrestling tournament and it was pretty darn good.
