round will defiantely get the job done, but 5 rounds is all you got, granted they are thumb size. I know the 3" weapon is a bit heavy, but if you ain't doing much, I think it is manageable, could make a great car gun. btw, I have a rossi 720 hammerless, with some 200gr home rolled Hp's.

I have 2,S&W model 296(scandium/titanium hammerless 2") and Charter Arms Bulldog 3".I carry the S&W occasionally with 200 gr. Winchester Silvertips.I tried Cor Bon 180's and in that light gun it was brutal. The Bulldog is one of my "house" guns. Steve

I carried a 624 3" barrell for a year or two. Sadly I've gotten fatter and have regulated it to mostly a house gun. I keep it stoked with HSM 240gr SW. I used to use the Golddots haven't found them for over a year now.

I also have a S&W 24 with a 3" barrell, its the blue mate to the 624. It hasn't been shot much and is somewhat a safe queen.

I wouldn't hesitate to carry or use either one in a self defence situation. In my book the 44 special rates right with 45 colt and 45acp.

My wife's gun is a stainless Charter Bulldog Pug. We haven't shot it a whole lot yet, but the rounds we have run have been consistently accurate. Probably need to get some wider grips for the thing eventually, as the Charter rubber ones are really narrow.
