I've had one for a little over a year now. I also have the A300 Ultima Patrol.

I prefer the A300. Here's why:

I know... It's long-winded. Maybe someone will find some information they can use. We've had both for a few months now and have fired about 300 rounds thru each gun. The only malfunction has been with the 1301 when it failed to drop a shell from the magazine on to the lifter. No idea why...

Here’s my thinking:
If you are going to shoot a magazine or two per year and want an additional HD semiauto shotgun for your armory, get an A300 Patrol.
If your main HD gun is going to be a 12ga and you’re going to run this hard, month in and month out, get the 1301.

Sometimes I think I’d like a new HD shotgun, but I’m still depending on my 30+ year old Benelli M1 Super 90.

If your main HD gun is going to be a 12ga and you’re going to run this hard, month in and month out, get the 1301.

Hard to go wrong with either one. I have both and, knowing what I know now about both, I'd buy the A300 over the 1301 if I were in the market. It's about 95% of the shotgun the 1301 is at 50% of the price. And the other 5% is pretty much just cosmetics...fit and finish. And, my A300 has been 100% reliable over more rounds fired. Can't say the same about the 1301.
